Falls with a non-fatal injury can have a devastating impact on a person’s quality of life. Approximately half of the people hospitalized after a fall do not return home and often require long term care or nursing home admission. The ability to identify risk factors, assessment and evidence-based intervention strategies are key to effectively serving a consumer with high risk.
